The Marian consecration group gathers every Sunday at 10:30 a.m. in the Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel to pray the rosary. All are invited to join them to grow in devotion to the Blessed Mother, especially during the month of October, the month the rosary.
Catholic Funeral & Cemetery Services will be offering tours after the 11:00 a.m. Mass each Sunday for the month of October, in anticipation of All Souls Day. Please go to the mausoleum if you would like to participate in a tour.
The next cohort of parents seeking Baptism for their sons or daughters will begin on Sunday, October 6. Children who are part of this cohort will be baptized on Sunday, November 9. Please submit an interest form to participate.

Young adults (age 18-40) are invited to join us after the 11:00 a.m. Mass on Sunday, September 29 to meet with a member of our team, Jimmy Jimenez-Garcia, and connect with other young adults. Parents of children receiving First Communion must attend a mandatory orientation on Saturday, September 21, from 9:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. This will take place at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, located at 176 Ridgeway Ave, Oakland, CA 94611, on the corner of Ridgeway and Piedmont Ave. Lunch will be included for participants.

All Children receiving First Holy Communion in your Schools and Parishes are invited to participate in a Solemn Corpus Christi Mass and outdoor Eucharistic Procession at the Cathedral of Christ the Light on Sunday, June 2 at 11:00 AM. All children are invited to wear their First Communion garments. Children are also invited to a simple cupcake reception at the Event Center after the outdoor procession. Dr. Jeffrey Parola has been appointed music director for the Cathedral of Christ the Light, effective May 13. Parola comes to the diocese from the Church of St. Paul the Apostle in Los Angeles, where he has served as director of music ministry since 2021.

A novena of Masses for mothers begins at the 11:00 am Mass on May 12 and ends on Tuesday, May 21 at the 12:10 pm Mass. You may submit names of mothers through offering envelopes at the concierge desk.
Next Tuesday (April 9) and Wednesday (April 10) we will be hosting hosting eighth graders from Catholic schools around the diocese for Eighth Grade Day. Please note, Mass will be at 1:00 p.m. instead of our usual 12:10 time, and will be celebrated by Bishop Barber.
