Each of us are blessed with God-given talents. We invite you to pray about ministering in the Parish community and becoming part of our Parish family. Please refer to the Parish Registration and Liturgical Ministry Sign Up Form for details.

Children’s Liturgy of the Word celebrates the Word of God, as children hear and relate to weekend age-appropriate readings in language suitable for them. The Cathedral encourages participation of children ages 5 to 13. The Sunday Gospel is read and discussion or an activity is conducted by an assigned presenter. The goal is to create readings relative and memorable to the children and to enhance their worship experience. The children return to the Cathedral during the preparation of the gifts as together, we celebrate Holy Communion.
On a visual level, art and environment play an important role in expressing the meaningfulness of liturgy. By enhancing the Cathedral with color, light, living environment, and other elements, we enrich and enliven the worship experience. Aside from creating and maintaining a constant environment for all masses throughout the year, our larger undertakings include: Advent, Christmas and Easter Masses and special feasts such as St. Nicholas, San Lorenzo Ruiz, and particularly our Diocese’ patroness, Our Lady Queen of the World.
Ministers of hospitality encourage welcoming engagement with parishioners after the mass and provide refreshments.
Greeters and Ushers serve an important role in creating a sense of community by welcoming and ushering members of the community during liturgies.
For generations, the Church has used song to cry out in praise and lament before God. Music and liturgy are inseparable. The primary role of choir ministers is to inspire the sung prayer of the assembly. Our liturgical music ensembles draw on a rich diversity of the Church’s tradition to do this. Please visit our Music section for more information.
